Care guide.

A gallery-wrapped canvas asks for very little. A few habits keep the whites white and the edges sharp for years.

Hanging

  • Canvases arrive ready to hang. A single picture hook or screw is enough for A3; use two for A2 to keep it level.
  • Hang with the centre of the canvas at about eye level, roughly 1.5 m from the floor.
  • For a matching pair, leave a gap of 5 to 10 cm between them so they read as one set.

Where to place it

  • Keep it out of strong direct sunlight, which fades any print over time.
  • Avoid hanging it directly above heaters, fireplaces or in steamy bathrooms.
  • Garages are fine; just keep it away from spray, dust and fumes from the workbench.

Cleaning

  • Dust gently with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth or a soft brush.
  • Never use water, glass cleaner or solvents on the print surface.
  • Handle it by the frame edges, not the face, when moving it.

Storing

If you need to store a canvas, keep it upright in a cool, dry place, face protected, and never stack anything against the printed side.
